Certified ADI Coaches

Dr. Michelle Kindt 

Michelle has over 20 years of teaching experience at both the middle and high school levels in public education.  A National Board-Certified teacher, Michelle currently works as a French teacher (Grades 6, 7 & 8) at Sharon Middle School in Sharon, MA.  Michelle works with language teachers all over the country touting the message of Comprehensible Input (CI), Acquisition-driven Instruction (ADI) and happy classrooms!  As a teacher-trainer and coach, Michelle has regularly worked with small cohorts of teachers, training them in ADI strategies to take back to their classrooms.  In addition to regional, state and local venues Michelle has had the opportunity to present and coach ADI theories and strategies at national conferences, such as IFLT, CI Summit, Fluency Matters & ACTFL.  She has recently defended her doctoral dissertation and received her Ed.D. from Immaculata University in Educational Leadership.  Michelle very much enjoys working with World Language teachers, encouraging them to teach for proficiency outcomes via acquisition-driven language instruction. 


Teri Wiechart

Teri has 35 years of experience as a social studies and French teacher at Delphos Jefferson High School in Ohio. Since retirement in 2010 she has worked as a consultant to the Ohio Department of Education, working on updating the learning standards for Ohio’s K-12 students.  

Teri has worked on numerous projects with teachers of Language Acquisition, notably as coach at National TPRS Conference and the International Forum for Language Teachers. She was director of the iFLT Conference in 2022 and is currently is the Conference Coordinator for the CI Summit 2023 & 2024 Conference. She has held numerous responsabilities with the Ohio Foreign Language Association, including President of the Executive Board 2013-14. She was the recipient of the 2018 OFLA Distinguished Career Award.

Teri received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University in 1974 and her Masters of the Arts in Teaching in 1980 from Bowling Green State University.  She studied abroad at l’Université de Strasbourg et l’Institut d’Étrangers, Strasbourg, France 1973-1974.

Early bird fees (deposit paid by February 15, 2025) includes ADI workshops, group visits and activities, meals as indicated, in-country travel.  Does not include travel to Strasbourg.
